WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – William Norton, manager of decision support, Patient Financial Services at St. Mary’s Medical Center, has been promoted to Director of Patient Financial Services, announced Chief Executive Officer Davide M. Carbone.

Norton, a Lake Clarke Shores, Fla. resident, has more than 27 years of healthcare experience and he has been with St. Mary’s since 2005, during which time he assisted the past director of patient financial services in carrying out all support services and requests for the centralized business offices.  His new duties will include supervising the facility’s revenue cycle, cash flow and bad debt expense. Before joining St. Mary’s, he worked as a supervisor in Tenet’s regional business office and as assistant director of patient financial services at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.  

“William has been with us for more than three years, and he knows this hospital inside and out,” said Carbone.  “We’re confident he will perform extremely well in his new responsibilities.”
