St. Mary’s Medical Center and Nicklaus Children's Hospital has named Steven Burghart Associate Administrator. In his new role, he will be responsible for Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition, Security, Physician Practices and the St. Mary’s Medical Center office buildings.

Burghart has extensive experience in healthcare management and consulting.  Most recently, he was Director of Tenet Healthcare Systems’ Commitment to Quality (C2Q) team for the Florida markets. 

“Steven has a broad range of expertise in key areas that are critical to us at St. Mary’s,” says Scott Manis, Chief Operating Officer.  “Most importantly, he has worked with our team in his previous role and has shown he clearly shares our commitment to providing the highest quality health care at St. Mary’s Medical Center.”    

Burghart holds a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Baylor University in Waco.
