It doesn't take much to be a hero -- just give your time.  At St. Mary's Medical Center, our volunteers are heroes everyday.  Volunteers provide assistance to our patients, visitors and staff and do so much more.   Volunteers work throughout the hospital in a variety of departments and roles.  Chances are we can find a rewarding opportunity to match your talents and interests. We warmly extend an invitation to you to share you heart, talents, interests and compassion!

 The volunteer program assists the hospital staff in many areas including:

The Cuddler Program   Volunteers with the cuddler program rotate throughout the Children's Hospital, providing comfort and support to many of our children - from coloring to giving a needed hug - this group of volunteers always brings smiles to the faces of pediatric patients.

Pet Therapy Program   This group of volunteers brings smiles to patients and staff at St. Mary's. The special talents of dogs and their owners help in the healing process by visiting and entertaining patients.

The Teen Program   Our teen volunteer program allows students the opportunity to gain first hand knowlege of a hospital's daily activities. Many of our physicians and nurses volunteered at St. Mary's as teenagers and were inspired to pursue a career in the medical field.
