Cancer Care with a High Dose of Accuracy  The Harold and Sylvia Kaplan Cancer Center at St. Mary's Medical Center is pleased to offer the residents of Palm Beach County convenient access to one of the most advanced linear accelerators in the area. The linear accelerator technology allows for accurately targeting a higher dose of radiation at a tumor without damaging surrounding healthy tissue. Linear accelerators are commony used to deliver external beam radiation treatment to children and adults living with a variety of cancers, including those of the prostate gland, breast, head, neck and bone.

Look Good, Feel Better  The Look Good, Feel Better program is a free, community-based activity that teaches beauty techniques to female cancer patients in active treatment to help restore their appearance and self-image. The partnership enables certified and licensed beauty professionals to help cancer patients regain self-confidence during their treatment. Each two-hour, hands-on workshop includes a 12-step skin care/make-up application lesson, demonstration of options for dealing with hair loss, and nail care techniques.   Click here for more information, meeting dates and registration.
