St. Mary’s Medical Center and Nicklaus Children's Hospital has named Angela Prestia Director, Clinical Quality Improvement, of the 460-bed acute care facility in West Palm Beach. In her new role, she will be responsible for hospital-wide clinical quality measures, infection control, IHI initiatives and the 100,000 Lives Campaign.
Prestia has more than 25 years of experience in health care administration and nursing. Most recently, she was a nurse consultant at Indian River Memorial Hospital and prior to that, Prestia served as chief nursing officer (CNO) at Jupiter Medical Center from 1999 to 2006.
Prestia holds an associate’s degree in nursing from Broward Community College’s Davie campus as well as a bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla.; a master’s in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and a certificate in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.
