WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – St. Mary’s Medical Center and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital have named John Norris as Director of Environmental Services. In this role, Norris will be responsible for providing leadership to achieve excellence in the areas of hospital appearance and cleanliness.
Prior to arriving at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Norris was Director of Environmental Services for Medi-Dyn, Inc., in Missoula, Mont., where he had been since 2000.
“We expect John’s broad expertise and capable direction will provide strong leadership to the management of our hospital’s physical plant,” Steven Burghart, Associate Administrator, said. “John’s expertise and past success is an asset to our hospitals.”
Norris was Director of Sales for the Educational Software Institute from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1987 to 1995 where he spent much of his active duty time in Scotland. While in the service, Norris received the Navy Achievement Medal for processing more than 60 after-hour emergency flight arrangements during a three-week period in support of a massive naval exercise in the Northern Atlantic.
