SMMC Director of Dialysis appointed to the ESRD Network

St. Mary’s Medical Center and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Director of Dialysis, David Ramdon, has been appointed to the Council of the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Network for the State of Florida.  Council members are charged with exploring ways to enhance the excellence and safety of care provided to ESRD patients, optimize their quality of life, and improve collaboration among caregivers.  They are appointed from a pool of highly qualified medical professionals throughout the state.

“We are pleased to announce David’s appointment and the expanded role he has assumed with the ESRD Network,” noted Davide M. Carbone, CEO of St. Mary’s Medical Center.  “His is the latest example of dedication to medical excellence displayed by our hospital staff.”

Director of Dialysis since April 2005, Ramdon received an associate’s degree in health services administration from Miami-Dade Community College, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing/nursing administration from Florida Atlantic University.
