WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –  Jeanne Moise, RN, has been named 2007 Nurse of the Year for St. Mary’s Medical Center and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

A Loxahachee resident, Moise relies on her 16 years of nursing experience—with 14 spent in psychiatric nursing—to serve pediatric, adolescent and adult patients at the hospital’s Institute for Mental Health.

“Jeanne knows her patients and families well and never fails to go the extra mile with a smile on her face and a great attitude,” said Joey Bulfin, Chief Nursing Officer.  “Her interactions with co-workers as well as patients are always at the highest level of professionalism.”

Moise received her nursing degree from Pace University and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City where she began her career.  She joined St. Mary’s nursing staff in 2002 when she moved to South Florida.  A large number of votes by both St. Mary’s management team and staff made Moises the clear choice for Nurse of the Year.

One of her co-workers made the following comment when nominating Jeanne: “I have never heard another nurse, mental health technician or doctor complain or speak negatively about her.  She is compassionate to patients and treats those who are unable to meet their own needs as we would want our loved ones to be treated.”
