West Palm Beach, FL (March 23, 2009) - Dr. David Petruska is a board certified neurosurgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Originally from southern California, he earned his undergraduate and medical school degrees at the University of Southern California, graduating with honors. Neurosurgical training was completed in 1992 at the highly regarded University of Louisville. His 17 years of highly respected private practice has included being an educator for a spine fellowship program and a neurosurgeon for America’s veterans. He has lectured and published extensively. Dr. Petruska’s goals are to grow professionally and personally by coming to St. Mary’s Hospital. He is extremely excited to be a part of the foundation of a top quality regional neuroscience center. Elective neurosurgery is his focus. Dr. Petruska’s interests include surgical treatment of neurologic diseases of the spine, brain tumors, hydrocephalus, trauma, and cerebrovascular disease of the brain. Dr. Petruska and his wife Terri reside in Palm Beach Gardens.
