WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – April 27, 2009– On April 25th, St. Mary’s participated in the March for Babies with the March of Dimes and also celebrated the NICU Reunion.  Approximately 60 employees along with 15 graduates from our NICU and their families participated in the four mile walk at John Prince Park.  Jennifer Ross from 97.9 WRMF kicked off the festivities and co-walk chairs; Davide M. Carbone, CEO of St. Mary’s and Val Perez, City President from Regions Bank addressed the crowd before the walk.  As the walk ended St. Mary’s employees and the NICU families gathered at the St. Mary’s tent for a cook-out.  Each of the families received a gift bag full of St. Mary’s goodies and each NICU graduate received an “I’m a St. Mary’s NICU GRAD” shirt.

As a hospital, St. Mary’s raised more than $12,000 for the March of Dimes.  The OR raised the most money with a grand total of $1273.38.  We truly appreciate the hospital-wide effort to raise money for such a worthy cause and we couldn’t do it without the help of each department.
