WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –
St. Mary’s Medical Center honored 168 of its employees who are celebrating five-year-incremental anniversaries in 2008 at its annual Employee Service Awards Dinner, held January 30 at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. Together, the employees had contributed over 2,100 years of service to St. Mary’s.
Among the employees honored were five who had been with the hospital for 35 years: Don Chester, Administrative Director of Community and Government Relations; Kieran Comeaux, Clinical Nursing Coordinator, Central Scheduling; Yvonne Gaines, Unit Secretary, MICU; Ruby Morrow, RN, NICU and Girish Patel, Imaging Supervisor, Nuclear Medicine.
Also recognized were Thomas Ihle, Lab Supervisor as Employee of the Year; Ed Raguindin, Stepdown Unit as Nurse of the Year and Liz DeLuca, Lead Risk Manager as Leader of the Year. These three standout employees received a $500 check along with an engraved desk clock detailing their honor.
As the awards came to an end, the band took the stage for the remainder of the evening and the guests danced the night away. “It is amazing to see the dedication our employees have to our patients and hospital,” said Davide M. Carbone, CEO at St. Mary’s. “I truly enjoy recognizing these employees for their dedication and commitment.”
