Suneet Kukreja, MD and Jyoti Mohanty, MD, provide leadership for the Cardiology department at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

About Dr. Kukreja   A cardiologist with 16 years of medical experience, Dr. Kukreja is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is credentialed in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and his most recent training includes a clinical cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Prior to moving to Florida, Dr. Kukreja practiced as a hospitalist at Detroit Medical Center and William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. He completed additional training in cardiology at Wayne State University in Detroit and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.

About Dr. Mohanty  A cardiologist with 20 years of medical experience, Dr. Mohanty is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with an emphasis in Cardiovascular Disease. Prior to working at St. Mary's, Dr. Mohanty practiced interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FLorida, Cook County Hospital and St. Mary's of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He was the chief fellow in cardiology at Cook County Hospital where he completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship.

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory: cardiac angiogrqphy, pacemaker and AICD insertions, Intra-aortic balloon  insertion and care, Cardioversion, NPH catheter insertion and IVC filter placement.

EKG:  12 lead electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms and 24 hour Holter Monitor placement and interpretation.

Echocardiology:  Echo 2D, Echo M-mode, Spectral Doppler studies, Color flow Doppler study, continuous wave Doppler study, fetal echo and trans-esophageal echocardiograms.

Stress lab:  graded exercise stress test, cardiolite stress test, stress echo, adenosine cardiolite stress and dobutamine stress echo.
