Shark bite sends Treasure Coast man to St. Mary's

In February, Hobe Sound surfer Bert Krebs was bit by a shark on his foot. Like with many shark bites in the area, he was rushed to #StMarysMedicalCenter. With the help of our research into shark bites, and our level 1 trauma capabilities (highest in the state), we treated him and he was home three days later.

He still has several weeks to go to heal fully, and his pinky toe is missing, but he hopes to get back out on the water when he's healthy enough.
