St. Mary’s Medical Center Awarded Advanced Stroke Certification from The Joint Commission

West Palm Beach, FL- St. Mary’s Medical Center earns The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval^® and the American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for the Advanced Stroke Certification.

Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. The reviewers also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

The multidisciplinary team of physicians and specialists who are part of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at St. Mary’s includes emergency medicine physicians, neurohospitalists, vascular neurosurgeons, interventional neurologists, intensivisits, rehabilitation specialists and nurses with neuro training.
