Lori Sevald, MD
Obstetrician and Gynecologist
Dr. Lori Sevald is a board-certified, fellowship-trained obstetrician and gynecologist and the Interim OB/GYN Department Chair at St. Mary’s Medical Center. With more than 13 years in practice and a license in both the state of Florida and Georgia, she brings her passion for research and education to our hospital.
Dr. Sevald has served mothers and families of the Palm Beaches and the Treasure Coast since 2005by educating her patients on all of their pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive, preventative and prenatal care needs.
As a member of The Birthplace at St. Mary’s Medical Center’s team, she oversees a multidisciplinary team of neonatal physician specialists, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, educators, lactation consultants and discharge planners – each dedicated to helping infants in need of specialized care get the best possible start in life.
As a research enthusiast, Dr. Sevald serves as an investigator for the locally based Altus Research, which conducts clinical trials related to women’s health. She is also an active member in her community. Dr. Sevald is as a member of the Palm Beach Medical Society, and also serves on the advisory board for the Palm Beach Cystic Fibrosis chapter. She is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Patient Navigator- The Birthplace
Julie Quattlebaum serves as the OB Nurse Navigator at The Birthplace at St. Mary’s Medical Center. As such, she has dedicated herself to acting as an advocate and counselor for patients during their hospital stay, as well as following-up after discharge to ensure we are still providing top notch care as needed.
Julie graduated from the registered nurse program at Palm Beach State College and has worked in various OB/GYN private practices. Most recently, she served as a teaching assistant at Rosarian Academy in West Palm Beach.
In addition to her work experience, Julie takes great pride in her community involvement. She's a member of the advisory boards for Palm Beach Atlantic University’s School of Nursing and the Volunteer Nursing Corps, has served as the Home and School President for Cardinal Newman High School, and also spent nearly ten years serving local residents through The Junior League of the Palm Beaches.
